Service Provision

Reporting services are available 24/7 365 days a year. An Imaging Partners Online Radiologist is always available for consultation.

The reporting services provided by Imaging Partners Online include;

  • MRI
  • CT (including multislice)
  • Ultrasound
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • General X-Ray

Imaging Partners Online will regularly provide to its clients detailed service reports for all urgent and non-urgent cases reported, detailing a range of management criteria including turnaround times. The report format can be altered to fit client needs.

As a result of our experience, Imaging Partners Online has developed a set of recommended ‘Clinical Indicators’ which have been widely accepted. These could be adapted to your site following careful consultation with your Imaging and Emergency Departments.

Prior to commencing service, Imaging Partners Online would discuss with your department
suitable imaging protocols to enable our radiologists to suitably manipulate the images using
our specialised software, facilitating MPR and MIPS reconstructions.

No, there are no guarantees required. You may want to have the service just as an insurance, in case of your own radiologist shortages.

New Partnership

How you use Imaging Partners Online can be determined by your local needs. Some indication of demand is required so that the reporting sites can roster accordingly. On the other hand, you may wish us to be on site as an insurance plan, with little or no knowledge of immediate volumes. This discussion would initially occur when scoping the service for your hospital or practice and would be reviewed from time to time.

Fees & Costs

Pricing will be discussed during scoping of the service for your particular hospital or practice.
The aim of Imaging Partners Online is to offer overflow and on call service at competitive rates, helping your site avoid high fixed costs for occasional workload balancing or nightly on call reporting.

Radiologists

Imaging Partners Online has a team of Radiologists who are:

  • fellows of RANZCR,
  • Medically Registered,
  • covered by Medical indemnity in Australia and the UK.

All are Specialist Registered in Australia and 12 hold Specialist Registration in the UK. All our radiologists participate in the Imaging Partners Quality Assurance program. The continued involvement of radiologists working within Imaging Partners Online is dependent on them committing to and strictly adhering to the company’s code of practice & policies.

Reporting & Communication

Imaging Partners Online will guarantee compliance to agreed times for the turnaround on all your radiology imaging reports. Urgent cases can be reported and returned within 1 hour.

For urgent cases a typed report is faxed to your referring department and your hospital
radiology department.

When clinically appropriate a verbal report will be provided.

For your convenience, definitive reports are available on a secure website for ease of
‘copy and paste’ into your RIS.

Imaging Partners Online can also provide an outbound reports HL7 Interface.

Dedicated 1800 numbers as well as dedicated fax lines have been established to each of the
reporting centres.

Imaging Partners Online is committed to the importance of referring clinicians having access to the reporting radiologist. A single 1800 number is available for such contact.

Imaging Partners Online has built the requirement for Patient Privacy into the design of our rigorous QA systems and processes which are followed for every case. Our leading edge technology and secure site enables strict Patient Privacy to be maintained at all times.

Imaging Partners Online is certified to ISO27001 - the only auditable International Standard for Information Security.  To maintain this certification, Imaging Partners Online is required to undergo an annual audit from an accredited ISO auditor.

Verbal Reports will be provided between the Reporting Radiologist and the Referring Clinician in cases of emergency and will be followed up with a definitive typed report within the required turnaround KPI.

Information Technology

A DICOM output from all modalities is required when sending to our teleradiology server.

DICOM is a medical imaging industry standard for communication between systems. Most modalities purchased in the last three to five years will either be DICOM compliant or DICOM compatible.

The DICOM status of your equipment will need to be verified by your modality vendor.

Bandwidth requirements will be specified when we have had the opportunity to fully scope the likely demand from your site. As a guide to enable fast and efficient image transfer a suggested network bandwidth is outlined below:

  1. General X-Ray & Ultrasound - 1Mb upload
  2. Sites with MSCT, MRI - 2Mb upload

All required hardware and software for sending images and clinical requests through the teleradiology system will be provided by Imaging Partners Online.

Quality Assurance

Imaging Partners Online has designed a proprietary rigorous QA system that is followed for every report. Each Radiologist is supported by a QA Manager and Typist who work together in line with the processes to provide the client with an accurate report in the fastest possible timeframe.
